Day 1: Arrival and Sunset Safari in Kruger

Upon your arrival at a designated lodge near Kruger National Park, you'll be greeted with a warm African welcome before settling in. As the sun begins to set, you will go on your first game drive in an open-sided 4x4 vehicle. The evening light casts a golden glow over the savanna, and you will begin your search for the park's nocturnal and crepuscular inhabitants.

This will be your first opportunity to spot the king of the jungle, the lion, as it begins to stir from its afternoon rest. You might also encounter the powerful Cape buffalo grazing in the long grass or spot a family of spotted hyenas beginning their evening hunt. Keep an eye out for smaller, equally fascinating creatures like jackals and the rare genet.
